It all started in 1956 from a small Texas storefront in the Oak Cliff neighborhood just outside downtown Dallas along historic US Highway 80. With a menu that reminds you of home and servers who know you by name, Norma’s Cafe began welcoming hungry guests from across the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex with its Texas comfort food.

Come to this independently-owned 50’s diner for a trip back in time with some delicious comfort food served with a heavy dose of southern hospitality. Katrina is a phenomenal manager and Maggie is a super attentive waitress. Make sure you bring a hearty appetite!

Loved the atmosphere and as soon as I walked in. There is something especially charming about the local diner vibe with vintage decor and historical photos/art representing the town. The staff was very friendly and the food was awesome. I had the Pot Roast special and my fiancee had their famous Chicken Fried Steak. The portions were generous and very filling. Plus, we ended our meal with the biggest, gooiest cinnamon bun I've ever seen. Needless to say we had to take some of it to go, but we decided this was a future go-to spot whenever we're in the area.

This place was absolutely delicious. Over and over again ive been told that you cant get quality southen food outside of southwest Louisiana. And i have to admit I have always taken pride in this. Today i found out that was wrong. Normas in frisco texas knocked it out of the park. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the country fried steak with carrots glazed and the mac n cheese and savory green beans .. Yummy! I topped it all off with an old fashioned cup of joe to wash it all down with. My wifey got the double cheese bacon burger and a coke, it came with fries. It had everything i wanted to get a taste of home during this evacuation from hurricane laura... Thank you norma for helping me and mine feel at home during these tough times. We'll be back.

I know the State Fair isn't technically until next month and cancelled but Norma's has your fix. It was better than expected. I had the bacon Mac and cheese burger and deep fried oreo churros. Baby let me tell you it was a sloppy delicious sandwich and don't forget the tots.
